Fourteen-year-old Charlie lives in a small West Australian town. In the dead of night during the scorching summer of 1969, Charlie is startled being woken up by local outcast Jasper Jones standing outside his window. Jasper leads him deep into the forest and shows him something that will change his life forever, setting them both on a dangerous journey to solve a mystery that will consume the entire community.

Rachel’s Australian Aboriginal heritage has informed her entire filmmaking career. She founded the production company Blackfella Films in 1992 and has contributed extensively to the development of indigenous filmmakers. Her musical ‘Bran Nue Dae’ (2009) was screened at Sundance, Berlinale and Toronto Film Festival.
